About The Architects’ Pension Fund

The Architects’ Pension Fund (AP) is the pension fund for architects and established on 1 June 1957. The pension fund also admits employees of businesses and associations in fields related to architecture. AP has approximately 10,000 members and total assets amounts to approximately DKK 9,5 billion.

AP is administered by Sampension Administration A/S.

Member-owned pension fund

The pension fund is owned by its members, which means that the members and the owners are the same. There are no shareholders and any profits eventually go back to the members.

Annual general meeting

AP’s highest authority is the annual general meeting. The supervisory board consists of seven members, four of them are directly elected by members. The Danish Association of Architects (AA) and The Union of Architects and Designers (FAOD) appoint one member each, while the final member is appointed by them jointly.
